Kids say the cutest things!

Dear Jude,

One of my favorite things about you at this age is hearing you talk.  And talk.  And talk.  All. Day. Long.  You have the most precious way of talking, and the things that come out of your mouth are just too cute sometimes!  Here are some of mine and Daddy's favorites at the moment:

  • Said to Daddy each morning as he leaves for work: "Bye, Daddy!  Go to work again?  Got your coffee?  Keys?  Phone?  See you later!  Ciao!" {and sometimes you add in "Gonna miss you!" just for effect}
  • Typical greetings for Emily: "Good morning, Pwecious"; "Hey girl"; "Hi Emme"
  • "Wuv you"
  • "Hey Jude, don't be afwaid..."  {sung, of course}
  • "Emme's a girl, Mommy's a girl, Jude's a big boy, Daddy's a honey."
  • "Red light means STOP."  What does a green light mean? "Go." What does a yellow light mean? "Go fast."
  • A typical prayer at dinner: "Thank you God...food...bwessings...Amen!"
  • "Sorry, Mommy."  {and the way you say it reminds me of Gilbert from Anne of Green Gables.}
  • "Please," "thank you," and "welcome" are all becoming much more common these days.
  • Trying to get my attention: "Oh Mom!  Oh Mom!"  {pause} "Oh Shara!"
  • "Jesus is awive!!!"  and "Hey! Jesus wuvs me!"
  • Getting into your Cruiser car: "I going to the bank.  Need money.  See you later."
  • Anytime there is someone singing on TV: "My 'tar, Mom.  Need my 'tar."  {guitar}
  • "Good night.  Sweet dweams."
  • "My pleasure."
  • "Chocolate is my favorite."  {when asked what kind of donut he'd like}
Dad and I could add a million more to that list, but at least there are a few for us to remember.  I love you sweet boy and love hearing your precious voice every day, even if it is all day long.  {smile}

Love you like...well...YOU!
